Jay Roewe is senior vice president, West Coast Productions, for Home Box Office, Inc., responsible for co-overseeing the physical production of television series for the HBO network.  He also oversees and manages the worldwide film and television incentives for all productions produced for the company, both domestically and internationally.

Roewe joined HBO in 1994, originally serving as vice president, Production, for the then titled film division, HBO Pictures.  In 2000 he began to oversee miniseries as well, until 2010 when he was promoted to head of physical production for all television series.  HBO films, miniseries and original programming have a rich history of high quality, thought-provoking projects that attract A-list talent and filmmakers and, year after year, garner critical accolades and prestigious awards.

Roewe is a 30-year + veteran of film and television production, with experience ranging from news, corporate, music videos and commercials to long-form television, miniseries, theatrical features and television series production.

He is a member of the DGA (Director’s Guild of America), the PGA (Producer’s Guild of America) and ATAS (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences).

As a graduate of Boston University (BU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Television, Roewe now sits on the Board of Overseers for Boston University and is on the Board of Advisors to the College of Communication at BU.
