Prior to launching Brilliant Ventures, Kara was a founder/leader of 6 breakthrough companies, 4 of which resulted in significant exits. At those companies, which included Adap.tv and Tripod.com, she led groundbreaking marketing efforts that built powerful brands and accelerated growth. Throughout her operating and investing careers, she’s found nothing as compelling as working with brilliant entrepreneurs and amazing companies. A frequent speaker, Kara has recently addressed audiences at the United State of Women Summit, The Riveter, Techstars, The Other Festival, USC Marshall School of Business and General Assembly.
Kara graduated from Williams College and lives in Venice, CA with her 1 husband, 2 sons and 3 dogs.
