Eric Briggs

As Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Eric oversees MACRO’s strategic planning, M&A and financial matters, film and TV underwriting, investor reporting and new business initiatives.

Named one of FAST COMPANY’s 10 Most Innovative Companies in Hollywood, MACRO creates and finances film, television, digital content, technology companies, and brands that are driven by people of color and encompass universal themes to which all people can relate and connect. MACRO’s feature films have received nominations for 9 Academy Awards. MACRO also has multiple television series in production across a variety of platforms including AMC and Netflix.

Prior to joining MACRO, Eric was a Senior Advisor at FTI Consulting where he co-managed the firm’s Valuation and Financial Advisory Services Group. Eric joined FTI with its acquisition of The Salter Group (TSG) during Dec 2012. Eric co-founded TSG in 2003, which was a leading independent financial and strategic advisory firm. Prior to TSG, Eric was with the Media Industry Practice at Houlihan Lokey.

Through his prior consulting experience, Eric led over 2,000 engagements, with a focus on media and IP businesses. Eric has performed strategy and financial consulting work in conjunction with nearly every major and independent studio, most major and independent music companies, most leading digital platforms along with the leading capital market businesses supporting the industry. Previous clients include Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., Goldman Sachs, Fortress Capital, JP Morgan, NBCUniversal, TPG Capital and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

Mr. Briggs is a Professor of Finance and Business Economics at The Marshall School at USC, where he has taught courses at the graduate and undergraduate level covering strategy, corporate finance, valuation and economics. He graduated with honors with distinction in Economics from Brown University and holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.
