Brad Sharp

Brad Sharp is a managing director in the Valuation and Financial Advisory Services group of FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance practice and is based in Los Angeles, specializing in business valuation. He has extensive experience across a broad range of financial advisory roles, including (i) fairness opinions, (ii) solvency opinions, (iii) tangible/intangible asset valuations, (iv) litigation support, (v) bankruptcy, (vi) business plan development and (vii) strategic planning.

Mr. Sharp has completed over 700 engagements in entertainment and media, on behalf of management teams as well as investors and lenders.  Mr. Sharp’s work has encompassed (i) film production and distribution, (ii) film and television libraries, (iii) music catalogues, (iv) television production, (v) television broadcasting, (vi) cable networks, (vii) post-production, (viii) production payroll services, (ix) digital media and (x) video games. Mr. Sharp’s work has been used for transaction support, financial planning, litigation support, collateral purposes, compensation purposes, accounting and/or tax planning purposes.

Some of the companies that Mr. Sharp has worked with include Universal, Disney, Sony, Lionsgate, Viacom, Relativity Media, Legendary Pictures, Village Roadshow, The Weinstein Company, Revolution Studios, Exclusive Media, Alcon Entertainment, Open Road, A24, Red Granite, Entertainment One, Discovery Communications, NBCUniversal, CAA, UTA, WME, Goldman Sachs, Silver Lake, Fortress, JPMorgan, CIT, Union Bank.

Mr. Sharp joined FTI Consulting with its acquisition of Salter Group, a leading independent financial and strategic advisory firm that specialized in providing business and intangible asset valuations, financial opinions, financial and strategic analysis, forecasting and transaction support covering a broad spectrum of industries.

Prior to that, Mr. Sharp was a senior accountant at Deloitte in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications group, where he provided audit and assurance services for various technology companies, including both startups to large publicly traded entities. Responsibilities included planning and executing audit engagements, drafting, and reviewing audit work papers and financial statements.

Mr. Sharp holds a B.A. in business economics with a minor in accounting and a specialization in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a certified public accountant (inactive), CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles. and a candidate in the American Society of Appraisers.
