Lauren Selig

Lauren Selig is an entrepreneur and executive with a 25-year track record of global impact in the media, real-estate, technology and start-up communities. In 2013, Selig founded Shake and Bake Productions and V.A.L.I.S Studios to finance and produce high quality independent studio pictures, television and virtual reality. She is also the general manager of the IMAX Virtual Reality Fund and founder of crypto currency company Tangled Little Dragon.

Selig’s up and coming development projects include Elton Johns Rocketman, the last Kurbick script The Downslope, Sam Raimi’s Crawl and a feature based on Neal Stephenson’s best selling sci fi book The Diamond Age.

In the virtual reality space Selig created the Facebook 360 studio. She partnered with Endemol and TIME magazine to produce the first virtual reality summit of Mt. Everest for which she won an Emmy. She co-produced Intel’s Smithsonian American Virtual Reality experience and Justin Timberlakes song for his album Montana.

Selig is a co-owner of the China advisory firm Lila and formerly she was the president of business development and strategy at IndieFlix, one of the largest collections of independent films online.

In 2017 Selig became the general manager of the IMAX Virtual Reality fund. She also started the crypto fund Tangled Dragon and serves as an advisor and investor in the crypto currency space.
